University World Rankings Follow-up Unit

The main task:  follow up  the international rankings of universities and endeavour to enter and participate in it ,Also to improve the university’s position within the international rankings.
 
Tasks and duties
 
 1- Raising the  awareness level  of the culture of world rankings at the university.
 
 2- Preparing a database containing the various criteria and indicators for the international rankings of universities.
 
 3- Monitoring and evaluating the university’s main performance indicators against the various indicators for ranking universities internationally.
 
 4- Develop strategies (short, medium and long-term) to improve the performance of the university to enhance its position in various international rankings.
 
 5- The criteria comparison of the  university performance   with local and international universities according to the main performance indicators of the different rankings
 
 6- Continuous follow-up of international rankings, requirements and dates of participation in it.
 
 7- Organizing workshops and seminars on international rankings.
 

Laboratories Accreditation Division

 
 The main task: the achievement and follow-up of laboratories quality works to obtain an accreditation certificate Tasks and duties.
 

1- Monitoring and auditing laboratories specifications with the requirements of the   approved standard.

 

 2- Determining the technical specifications of devices and equipment, documenting it's data.

 

3- Coordination to open training courses for laboratory workers in accordance with international standards and approved standards.

 

 4- Coordination with the Laboratory Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop and improve the performance of laboratories.

 

5- Coordination with the relevant authorities to open specialized courses to graduate a staff of quality auditors.

 

 6- Follow-up of laboratories accreditation units in departments and centers in addition to submit periodic reports on laboratory equipment, maintenance and calibration programs

 

 7- Conducting internal audits according to the approved specifications

 

 8- Submitting periodic reports on laboratories

 The main task
 
 1- administration the division’s affairs, distributing work to the division’s employees, and supervising the completion of the  work .
 
 2- Publishing all the department’s activities on the university’s website and follow up the department’s e-mail.
 
 Tasks and duties:
 
 1- Preparing periodic reports of the department's activities and submitting it to the Ministry.
 
 2-  Execution training courses and workshops that contribute to raise the university’s institutional capacity.
 
 3-Holding seminars and lectures to disseminate awareness of promoting the culture of quality, performance and development constantly.
 
 4- Issuing brochures, and guides to support quality assurance and accreditation.
 
 5- Cooperation with the media department at the university and providing it with all the department's activities for the purpose of published it in the official university newspaper and Website.
